What better way to launch my blog than to share how I launched into this year—full of heart, adventure, and inspiration?
I started the year with a wholesome escape to the middle of nowhere. Picture this: a riverside haven with barely any phone reception (hallelujah), plenty of fish (some caught, some simply admired), and an opportunity to hit the reset button in the best way possible. It was nature’s way of saying, “Breathe, slow down, and enjoy the simple things.” Honestly, it was magical.
But let’s fast-forward to when I swapped fishing rods for notebooks, gumboots for creative boots, and stepped back into the hustle of Happy Little Socials. I hit the ground running, freshly inspired and fired up after an incredible weekend at Erin Henry’s Make Cool Shit event.
Over two days, I joined a dozen or so other inspiring women in business at the dreamiest location, Studio Henry. (Seriously, Pinterest board-worthy!) Together, we created, collaborated, and connected in ways that left my heart full and my brain buzzing. It was like plugging into a power source of ideas, passion, and purpose.
Here’s the lineup of brilliance: we soaked up wisdom on business principles, branding, mindset, and energetics. We even had visits from the incredible Ruby Lee (hello, Flow State!) and Hayley Lloyd (breathtaking breathwork and energetic practices). These women brought next-level insights into how we can align our energy with our goals to create magic in our businesses.
I was already saying going into this year I am being super intentional about where I put my energy and laser-focused on what I am creating and why, and for who I can help the most. This weekend was the perfect way to kick things off as I jumped back onto my desk on Monday. I encourage you to move through anxiety or doubt and show up to the events you want to attend even if you are alone (I actually love going by myself because it urges me to speak and enjoy everyone just as I am).
Biggest Takeaways?
This weekend wasn’t just a workshop; it was a soul-shifting experience. It reminded me why I love what I do and why I’m so committed to helping others shine online. The magic of connection, collaboration, and creativity is what fuels Happy Little Socials.
So here’s to the year ahead: creating cool things, building meaningful connections, and leaning into the belief that we are all enough. If this is the kick-off, I can’t wait to see what’s next!
